The scope of the guidance BONSAI offers
BONSAI gives guidance; it does not replace legal advice.
The framework does not certify compliance with any rule, and the result of the assessment is neither an opinion nor an audit. It is practical guidance: it says which controls are worth putting in place in a given situation and how to begin.
Responsibility for the decisions an organisation takes on the basis of this website rests with that organisation.

BONSAI is a construction of its own. The framework is not presented as based on, aligned with, derived from or checked against external rules, standards or laws.
